Killer Heels & Cocktails

Last Friday saw Sway Allstars heading up to Aberdeen, to perform at the Killer Heels and Cocktails charity ball, at The Beach Ballroom, in aid of Action Medical Research.

A “ladies lunch” if you like, but that’s only because it is during the day! An amazing group of women who in 2016 alone, raised the amazing amount of £102,000 for Action, helping to save and improve the lives of babies and children. Such an amazing event, with lots of bands and entertainment (magicians, caricaturists, crooners, buskers, butlers in the buff & more).

We went as a 10 piece band. The two brass boys busked in the foyer as the guests arrive. Then the other 8 band members were playing background music as the ladies entered the main room before lunch. After lunch (and a lot of other entertainment) the full 10 piece band filled the dance-floor to bring the party to a close.

We had Jai Amore, Holly Brewer and Hana Hocking up front singing. With Stuart Anning on drums, Steve Davis on bass, Richard Luck on keys and Lee Burnett on guitar. The brass boys were Jack Birchwood & Adam Holloway and our percussionist was Eman Antwi.
