Last week we enjoyed a fabulous night up at good old Wembley Stadium! We performed for the Easyjet Spirit Awards – always such an honour that they ask us back. We were in The Great Hall at Wembley which is a great party venue.
It was in Berlin last year and apparently will be in a different European/EasyJet destination every year from now on, which is exciting. It was supposed to be in Paris this year but was updated to London. This awards night has been held for a about 10 years now and we feel privileged that we have been asked every time. It’s been held at the Brighton Centre a few times and at Indigo at the O2.
The awards are a reward for all the staff – from Ground Crew at all the airports that EasyJet fly to, through to cabin crew, pilots and everybody else who are involved in making this company so successful. They’re all flown in from all over Europe for this black tie ball and booked into a hotel. It’s for people who have done particularly well that previous year. If they’re nominated for an award they’re invited to the ball.
We played all the award ceremony stings live and then we did a party set until late.
You can see from the video here how busy the dance floor was! With the extra additional temporary band member and dancer… 🙂
We were a 10 piece band with brass and percussion….
Jackson Mathod, Kat Deal – brass
Adam Falkner – drums
Nick Owen – bass
Lee Burnett – guitar
Jansen Santana – percussion
David Brooks – keys
So our next question to you is…how can we help make your event even more fabulous? We guarantee that your guests will go home with sore feet but high spirits. Our dance floors are rarely empty – everyone knows the songs we perform, but with live music, each song always seems more special.
